Sunnyvale, California 94085 What's going on - --------------------------------------------- Brenda Weiler celebrates the 141st anniversary of the Gettysburg address by bringing her stark, honest folk to my Sunnyvale address. About Brenda - --------------------------------------------- Now calling Portland, Oregon home, Brenda grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and made a brief stop in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the past six years, the hard-working Weiler has released five albums. Her latest, the eleven-track _Cold Weather_, is on Virt Records, a boutique label with fantastic taste. Brenda has won Minnesota Music Awards for Best Singer/Songwriter, Best Female Vocalist and Best Folk/Acoustic Artist. Her records have garnered rave reviews. She's had her praises sung by magazines from Performing Songwriter ("woos the listener in and won't let go") to Bitch ("achingly honest"). Check out Brenda's web site: http://www.brendaweiler.com/ FAQ - --------------------------------------------- Q: So what is a house concert, anyway? A: It's a wonderful way to experience music. Acoustic sound, intimate setting. No smoke, no drunks, no obnoxious suits. Q: I've listened to some music, and I'm still not sure. I'm waffling. An undecided voter. On the fence, even. Should I come? A: Yes, come! Music is best experienced live, and if you've never been to a house concert, now's a great time to start. If you were here last time, you already know how good it was. Q: Where is the concert? A: In my living room. Really. You'll get directions to the house when you RSVP. I like this RSVP thing. You should, too. Q: When should I arrive? A: Between 7:30 and 7:59 is good. If you're late, enter via the back door. Q: What about transportation? A: There's plenty of street parking, I live within walking distance of the Caltrain station, and the VTA buses drop you off two blocks away. Q: Can I blog about this concert? A: Sure. Please direct people to RSVP to brenda-lrc@paulschreiber.com. Don't post my other email address on the web for spambots. Q: Who gets the money? A: Brenda. Every cent. Q: Will she have CDs and merch for sale? A: Indeedy. Q: Who should I bring? A: Bring a friend! Bring a date! Bring your Mom! Bring all three! Q: What should I bring? A: Drinks and snacks will be provided, but if you'd like to bring something to share, I'd be really grateful. If you have folding chairs, let me know.
