Oh you get 'em Alan!! (just kidding) But I do want to thank Michael Pearce publically for putting on his first house concert and moving all his furniture and hosting EDGEWALKING BLIND, our new trio, even if no body came!!! We performed for over two hours & with the intensity of a full concert, despite the turn out, in fact the live recording we did came out great and I may put out a CD called "Live at Michael's". For all you Ectos that missed it, & for those NW fans that begged me to play Portland again and did not show up, it's cool, just hit this link and hear what you missed. Full free download of my new song H. BEACH and a good clip of Sinead O'Connor's GRAVE. (both raw, unedited, exactly as they occured) peace, cyoakha grace http://landoftheblind.com/liveatmichaels.htm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Oct 2004 17:21:34 -0700 From: paul kim Subject: amy cooper Thanks to Ger Perez's insistence, I attended one of the Tom Brosseau residency nights at Tangiers last week. Also on the bill was Gregory Page and a girl from SF named Amy Cooper. I was bowled over by Amy. Playing a hollow-body electric through a Vox amp, she slinked her way through a charged set. Her songs and her singing put me in mind of Suzanne Vega's plain storytelling with an undercurrent of PJ Harvey's coiled fierceness and a dash of Kristin Hersh's wounded beauty. Very interesting, and I'm looking forward to catching her again at the end of this month at the Hotel Cafe. http://www.amycoopermusic.com/sounds/index.php Paul (go sox) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Oct 2004 22:36:40 -0700 (PDT) From: cyo@landoftheblind.com Subject: Re: anyone in Eugene? lots of fun, dancing and ecto vox hello all you Ectos in Eugene... my other band DRUID SISTERS TEA PARTY, is playing the 7th annual Witches Ball at Wow Hall in Eugene this Saturday night! This is always a very fun night, with circle dances, rituals, costume contests and Pagans of all sorts, and now adding the DRUID SISTERS will make it quite the night!. Here's a little sample of a mix of Celtic violin, trance & Swahili lyrics, rock bass, kalimba and huge funky drums!
