Titled The You And The Now, this double album collects the Ivapore EP that was released earlier and a second cd of new material in english, including collaborations with Simon Wilcox and Lisa Germano and a cover of Donna Summer's I Feel Love. The album is produced by Michael Brook. You can download tracks on my website (www.kinegomoh.com/jorane) on which you can also learn more about Jorane and her new album (and concert dates as well). www.kinegomoh.com/jorane/blueplanet.mp3 www.kinegomoh.com/jorane/thecave.mp3 www.kinegomoh.com/jorane/ifeellove.mp3 www.kinegomoh.com/jorane/cucaracha.mp3 www.kinegomoh.com/jorane/evapore.mp3 The album should be released pretty much worldwide this year but I can't really tell at which date in which country. It's been released in France already, in Canada this week. Apparently there'lll be a USA release as well, for which the album will be merged into one CD, the second, english, one plus one of the tracks off Ivapore (Pour ton sourire). ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Sep 2004 10:30:51 -0700 From: Scott Andrew LePera Subject: Re: Uncle Sam wants your airwaves for $ meredith wrote: > Okay, that's the funniest thing I have read in *years*. Agreed. It's really sad that they're so desperate so as to resort to measures like this instead of allowing the transition to happen organically. The whole media/tech industry seems to be missing the point that the majority of us don't buy or upgrade to new technology because it's "better." For most of us, we do it because it's *more convenient.* This is part of why MP3s are eroding the record biz. Everyone knows MP3s and Apple's AAC files sound worse than CDs. So why are we buying/downloading so many? It's because I can fit 1000 of them on my iPod and I can pick and choose which tracks I want. The moment HDDTV becomes more convenient than the system we have now, we'll flock to it. Of course, it doesn't help that we're still in the middle of an economic slump. Who has the cash to buy this stuff? Not me. Heck, I still use my old boombox from high school as my main CD player. :) - -- Scott Andrew Lo-fi acoustic pop superhero! http://www.scottandrew.com scott@scottandrew.com My new record "Where I've Been" is now available at CD Baby! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/walkingbirds3 ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V10 #268 ***************************
