I am loving the new Allison Crowe as well. I also find her very soulful and emotional. I have gotten the new Kristeen young but haven't listened to it yet. Also you mentioned Lhasa last week and I loved her first CD and bought the new one after you let us know she had a current release. I am still waiting for it to arrive. I only have "Songs" by Regina Spektor, I will have to check out her new CD...thanks for the great tips. I am hooked on Anne Deming at the moment and still working my way through my CD baby sale purchases. Any Dresden Doll fans, they will be on KCRW and can be heard via web cast June 24th, 11:15am PST and I think it repeats again, sometime during the afternoon/eve Peace. sherry Date: Wed, 9 Jun 2004 01:57:12 -0700 (PDT) From: anna maria "stjdrnell" Subject: regina spektor and allison crowe Hi all.. weather here's lovely..good time to listen to some good music. the new regina spektor soviet kitsch is great. like her previous records its got the quirky, irresistble vibe. allison crowe's secrets is wonderul also. soulful, depp-voiced piano ecto. and a new kristeen young too..whew. anna maria np-allison crowe-secrets This e-mail/fax message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information. Gorgeous songs. Regina Spektor: LOVE her. I have all three of her releases (so glad I got "11:11" before it went out of print) and I listen to them all the time. Anne Deming: I'm so glad she's got some Ecto fans. Talk about an incredible voice. And if you think she sounds great "on record" you should hear her live. Guaranteed to give you chills. For real. She was also my spotlight artist of the month for May. Whee! I don't know Kristeen Young or Lhasa but since they've been mentioned in the same post as those other great ones I'll have to check them out. I also went nuts at the CD Baby sale and bought something like 10 CDs. I have only listened to a couple of them. It kills me that I have CDs on my shelf that I've not listened to yet. But I have so many that I *have* to listen to (for review for the site) that I rarely have time to listen to stuff I want to. Sometimes the ones I *have* to listen to end up being ones I want to, but that's not always. ~Amy www.collectedsounds.com > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-ecto@smoe.org [mailto:owner-ecto@smoe.org]On Behalf Of > London, Sherry > Sent: Thursday, June 10, 2004 12:54 AM > To: 'ecto@smoe.org' > Subject: RE: ecto-digest V10 #160; Allison Crowe & Dresden Dolls > > > Anna Maria....
