Mum is from Iceland. They are techno dreampop, a little too formless for some cases, but nice and wispy (occasionally eerie) in the right mindframe. I have both of their previous albums. They're perfect to write to. - --Craig - --- neal copperman wrote: > I'm on my local community radio station's discussion > list, which > includes a weekly summary of interesting new > arrivals at the station. > This one caught my eye. (you can back them up freely and transfer them from device to device) d - Tremendously indepent-artist friendly catalog - a great many CDBaby artists are available via eMusic; they're very open to working with even small labels. the pathetic caverns: a zine - opinionated and eclectic reviews a studio - specializing in indie/rock/mobile/live/demo recording http://www.pathetic-caverns.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 May 2004 17:29:33 -0400 From: Jeffrey Burka Subject: Re: eMusic? dmw sez: > > i've gone on and on about this in various fora, but eMusic has the > following enormous advantages... Anyone around here had a look at Audio Lunchbox (yeah, the obvious www.audiolunchbox.com)? I've bought a couple of albums from them and couldn't be happier. They sell by the album, not the track, but I'm not a fan of singles anyway. Lots of indie stuff and the albums run $9.99 and for that price you get 192kbps VBR MP3 *and* Q6 Ogg, along with lyrics and cover art. There's some ectophilic stuff on the site, from bands like Rasputina to Nickel Creek. I've been quite happy with my downloads from the site. jeff n.p. nothing -- time to leave the house and head for a play! n.r. dammit, why hasn't my copy of Stephenson's _the Confusion_ arrived?! ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V10 #124 ***************************
