Sherry, if you were to get Melissa Ferrick for a house concert, there would be no way in hell that I would be obstructed from attending. I hope you can make it happen. By the way, when are you going to see Sam Phillips and Jonatha Brooke? I know Sam has shows on the 17th and the 24th at the Tangier Restaurant, and I know Jonatha is at the Knitting Factory on the 7th and 8th of April. Too many shows this past week, and I missed half of them...including Rachael Sage tonight like, 2 miles from where I was mixing a song; Po' Girl and Jolie Holland on two separate dates; and The Like with Rooney on Tuesday. Fingers crossed that I can see Sylvie Lewis with Kevin So on monday. From the s-k site [www.sleater-kinney.com], posted March 4th: East Coast Tour Dates April 21-Baltimore, MD 22-Washington D.C. 25-Boston, MA 26-NYC, NY 27-NYC, NY 29 Philadelphia, PA (Venue information coming soon.) Stay tuned for an announcement of May west coast dates. Why are the tours so brief? Because we are writing songs and getting ready to record. More extensive US and overseas tours will commence once the new album is out. Sorry if we won't be in your city this time around. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Mar 2004 10:11:30 -0500 From: Rodney Somerstein Subject: Vienna Teng on NPR Just a note for anyone interested -- Vienna Teng was interviewed on the NPR show Sunday Weekend Edition this morning.
