A friend asked me to identify a song from the usual vague description, so I'm tossing it out to the Group Mind: The song had a female vocal over piano, with a brisk, "bouncy" feel. The voice was in conversation with herself, and at one point said "Hello" repeatedly in several languages. The listener heard it frequently on the radio in Dallas in 1995-1996. I have a feeling I'll have a moment of "D'oh!" when this is identified, Any clues? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2004 03:00:03 -0500 (EST) From: Mike Matthews Subject: Today's your birthday, friend... i*i*i*i*i*i i*i*i*i*i*i *************** *****HAPPY********* **************BIRTHDAY********* *************************************************** *************************************************************************** ******************** Stephen Thomas (no Email address) ******************** *************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Stephen Thomas Fri February 04 1966 Aquarius Doug Burks Tue February 14 1956 Blank Jim Sturnfield Thu February 18 1954 Aquarius Juha Kannisto Wed February 18 1970 Aquarius Joel Siegfried February 19 Penguin Crossing Linda Saboe Tue February 20 1951 aimless Teresa Ross Wed February 23 1977 pisces Michael Curry Fri February 24 1967 Pisces Paula Shanks Mon February 25 1952 Pisces Brni Mojzes Fri February 26 1965 the vanishing boy Pamela Pociluk Fri February 28 1964 Pisces Peter Clark Thu March 04 1948 Pedestrian - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2004 19:31:59 -0700 From: Jessica Byers Subject: Re: Caroline songs Thanks everyone for the Caroline songs. I'm not sure how I can manage to get them all without spending too much for just single songs... But some I can find. There's a song called Carolina Rua on the old Mary Black album, No Frontiers. I *knew* there was a Nields song that I was forgetting. I even got out several of the more obscure CDs to check, but somehow I didn't check that one. Duh... Thanks Meredith.
