Tom Robbins is very funny, as is "Princess Bride" by S.Morgenstern (I recommend the abridged version by William Goldman). My favorites are "Practical Demonkeeping" which is about a man who keeps a demon in order to live forever and "Lamb" which centers on Christ's "lost" years in between birth and his adulthood. They're all good though. His first, _Fool on a Hill_ I can recommend less amibguously - -- if you want a mad collision of Tom Robbins, Tolkein and Richard (Watership Downs) Adams, look no further. RUff has a brand new book. Was very tempted to pick up a copy t'day, but I wans't shopping for myself. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Dec 2003 10:46:45 +1030 From: jonathan soong Subject: Re: Funny Books >Tom Robbins is very funny, as is "Princess Bride" by S.Morgenstern (I >recommend the abridged version by William Goldman). > Is this recommendation serious? I strongly recommend anyone who liked the Princess Bride movie to get the book.. I believe you'll have a near-imposisble time finding the S. Morgenstern .. hahaha Its got more twist that the Sixth-Sense ! :) Highly recommended.! j ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V9 #360 **************************
