But I would say that neither is EWS quite the same as mindless consumerism. People around here tend not to have huge record and CD collections just to show them off; I know I buy music because I love music. > Finally I hope that all of those performers in musicals will dress as > Elmer too, otherwise they would seem out of place Well, the original example had Elmer in his tunic, "speaww and magic hewwmet". I'd keep the original costuming, but the character with the Elmer Fudd voice should at least be played by a little bald guy. Ooops, that just caused me to have an image of Elmer Fudd running around in lingerie in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Dec 2003 10:25:48 EST From: Riphug@aol.com Subject: M. Adrian Brassington? I'm trying to get in touch with former (and current?) list member M. Adrian Brassington. He was also active on the Tori Amos and Jeff Buckley lists (as well as a few others I think). If anyone has a current e-mail address for Adrian, would you please let me know? Thanks, and happy holidays! Jill :D ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Dec 2003 12:05:12 -0600 From: "Xenu's Sister" Subject: Congratulations, Laura Clifford! When I go to the Rotten Tomatoes site (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/) and click on The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King link, I see that now there are only 15 reviews, and one of them is by an Ectophile! Other reviews will start pouring in over the next few days, with an avalanche coming on Wednesday (because many outlets are forbidden to post their reviews until opening day), so it's quite cool to see Laura's name there now. Without having seen the movie yet (come on Trilogy Tuesday!), I won't comment on the review, but I do disagree VERY strongly with one thing said. I'll keep quiet until I can speak with authority. In any case, I'm glad you liked it, and way to go Laura! I have to say that I am extremely disappointed to read in reviews of the new "Looney Tunes Collection" DVD set that "What's Opera, Doc?" isn't included. ("The Rabbit Of Seville" is, though.) I mean, come on. How can you put together something you're going to bill as a definitive collection without "Kill da wabbit"?!? =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Dec 2003 20:04:01 -0500 From: Michael Curry Subject: Fwd: [The Reputation News] the reputation update! >Date: Sun, 14 Dec 2003 19:46:18 -0500 (EST) >From: elizabeth@reputationmusic.com >To: reputation@reputationmusic.com > >Hey everyone! > >So news!
