Anyone else got some suggestions? again catching up on ecto digests and i have to say that personally i have always been a huge fan of FEED THE FIRE. it's just a great song, and comes off of my favorite HAPPY RHODES album - WARPAINT. it also happens to be the very first HAPPY RHODES song i ever heard, since i bought RHODESONGS unheard from a mention of her by VICKIE way back when on the lovehounds list and it was the first song on that CD. so maybe it's just nostalgia for that first time that i heard HAPPY. either way, i soon joined ECTO and though my tastes have evolved away from both the core of ectophilic music (i rarely listen to HAPPY, TORI, SARAH, KATE), i have stayed on this list, while dropping all other music lists (at one point i was on over 25 music mailing lists) including lovehounds.... good luck on your radio show! irvin ps. I'm in LONDON from Jan 7 - 15. anyone have any suggestions as to where to go or what to do while i'm there? feel free to email me off list.... ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Nov 2003 03:00:05 -0500 (EST) From: Mike Matthews Subject: Today's your birthday, friend... i*i*i*i*i*i i*i*i*i*i*i *************** *****HAPPY********* **************BIRTHDAY********* *************************************************** *************************************************************************** ******************** Naama Avramzon (no Email address) ******************** *************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Naama Avramzon Mon November 18 1974 Scorpio Jeff Smith Mon November 19 1962 Crash Kevin Bartlett Fri November 21 1952 Scorpio Claudia Spix Wed November 23 1960 Schuetze Anja Baldo Tue November 23 1965 Garbanzo Tommy Persson Wed November 25 1964 Sagittarius Pat Tessitore November 26 Sagittarius Valerie Kraemer November 26 Sagittarius Justin Bur Fri November 27 1964 Sagittarius Sue Trowbridge Sun November 27 1966 Skytten Ward Kadel Tue November 29 1977 Sagittarius Jesse Hernandez Liwag Wed November 29 1972 Water Rat Mirko Bulaja Sat November 30 1974 Block Juha Sorva Thu December 02 1976 Sagittarius Chip Lueck Thu December 05 1968 Sagittarius Lenore December 05 sagi Michele Wellck December 08 Sagittarius Jeremy J. Some of the other CD's are also asking big prices. I know that Happy would be honored to know that some of her CD's are getting top dollar, but if people want to buy her music they should buy it from her website or at a record store so that Happy can benefit from the sale. No reply necessary, just passing this along. tom m. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Nov 2003 13:53:56 -0500 From: Mark Chapman Subject: A few more Happy/Mechanicsburg 11-6-03 pics - need a place to put them Anyone have some space on a page for five more decent "Happy and the Gang" photos? I got an e-mail from her a few weeks ago saying that she had just received a year-long working Visa for the US and was hoping to do a lot of shows here next year. Her web-site indicates that she was recently at the Yukon Arts Center with the excellent Kim Barlow and "other pals" for a "hair raising benefit". What it doesn't indicate is that she is currently still there, in Whitehurst Alaska, as the music director of their production of Hair! Sounds quite amusing. neal np: 1991 Happy Gift Project (Ofra Haza) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Nov 2003 20:56:45 -0700 From: Neal Copperman Subject: Veda update corrections Since I've already received two e-mails asking/pointing out that next year is 2004, I should point out that 2004 is what Veda's e-mail said. I corrected the year all on my own. I also "corrected" where Whitehurst was, since that info wasn't in the e-mail either. So in case anyone was about to head up there, you should really be going to the Yukon. the geographically and temporally challenged neal ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V9 #326 **************************
