I don't know yet whether either of two friends are going, so I can't really play around with the table reservation. But I will enjoy meeting more Happy fans. I don't know exactly how the seating for the shows works, but I assume the tables are small. They said 5:30 for dinner downstairs, and I'd be up for sharing a dinner table. I guess whoever shows up at 5:30, the restaurant would accommodate as a group, if requested. ~Mark C. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Oct 2003 11:37:49 -0400 From: aural gratification Subject: Bartlett/Echoes Hi My Interview with John Diliberto of Echoes begins airing this Wednesday. I think my mouth and brain were in different rooms at the time, but there may be some playing of ancient tracks from the 80's to accompany my babbling. Anyway if you're interested........ Check http://www.echoes.org for stations and times Thanks Hope y'all are doing well. I have always thought that people making genuinely expressive music with the intent of being expressive rather than commercial, will attract and audience that will support their music, while the main casualties of online music trading will end up being big top 40 tycoons with marketing strategies rather than artistry at their roots. That's not to say that there aren't some performers with both marketing strategies and artistry in their bag, but does anyone else think that's possibly the truth? np: pale saints - in ribbons joe and ellen music: http://www.jotdot.net/joeandellen http://www.mp3.com/joeandellen ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Oct 2003 20:23:16 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Re: happy concerts Hi, Karen moaned: >Ffffffffff--ck, Happy is playing NY two days after I leave it .... ack, I >can't believe that. Well, Philadelphia is only a couple hours away from NYC, so if you're still going to be in town on November 1st you have a chance to catch her at the Tin Angel!! woj and I will be going to the Bottom Line for sure. Alas, a trip to Philly just isn't in the cards this time around; like Mike I'm less than fond of the Tin Angel (I think the technical term is "deep loathing" ;), so it's no biggie. I'm glad the Bottom Line date got confirmed, what with everything that's been going on there lately. Hey Neal, any chance you might come up to NYC as well? =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org =============================================== ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V9 #284 **************************
