"you mean you've never had thoughts on being gay?" "are you sure you're not gay?" "you must be gay." sort of questions. it's like a parody of itself. whenever THE ADVOCATE interviews straight people they ALWAYS have to ask if they are gay. and ask. and ask again. it's just annoying. irvin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Apr 2003 03:00:02 -0400 (EDT) From: Mike Matthews Subject: Today's your birthday, friend... i*i*i*i*i*i i*i*i*i*i*i *************** *****HAPPY********* **************BIRTHDAY********* *************************************************** *************************************************************************** ******************* Christine Waite (no Email address) ******************** *************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Christine Waite Tue April 25 1972 Taurus Matt Adams Thu April 26 1962 Taurus Brad Hutchinson Tue April 28 1964 What sign? "As of July 2003, I shall be retiring from the music business order to pursue a different career," wrote O'Connor -- who distinguished herself in the 1990s as much with her shaven head and brash opinions as with her music -- on a Web site devoted to all things Sinead, (http://www.sinead-oconnor.com). Although the site is not the official home page for the singer, Lellie Capwell, a spokeswomen for Vanguard Records, O'Connor's U.S. label, confirmed the message was authentic. read on here - http://tinylink.com/?GJT3qEoiGo The New Yahoo! Off the top of my head, Barbara Kessler's _Stranger To This Land_ was recorded live at the Kendall Cafe in Boston. Some of you may have seen her on a bill with Happy a few years ago at the Bottom Line in NYC. I had a rare treat last night as I got to see Brian Auger perform live at a small Jazz club in Phila. I had seen him at least 20 years ago at a club in Phila but never got to meet him and talk to him. Though the crowd was light (but appreciative!), the band played with the energy and enthusiasm as if there were 1000 people in front of them. What a superb performance. This version of the Oblivion Express features his son Karma on drums, his daughter Savannah on vocals and a bass player. The show was incredible as Brian's hands literally flew across the keyboards. He still plays the magnificent Hammond B3 organ and did some favorites that included Indian Rope Man (Ritchie Havens), Light my Fire,(Doors) Season of the Witch (Donovan), Bumpin on Sunset (Wes Montgomery) and some of his own material. He hasn't lost anything in his keyboard playing especially since he's been doing it for almost 40 years. Truly one of the best keyboard players in the world. He's heading down to Blues Alley in DC next week and then to Virginia Beach. Cheers! tom ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V9 #116 **************************
