The locations are listed here, slightly encrypted for those with low will- power: http://gaffa.org/faq/faq_4_10.html :) John ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Jan 2003 09:45:20 -0500 (EST) From: "Stephen Hughes" Subject: KaTe Spotting, continued Was playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City last night when who's delightful voice came wafting through the speakers of the stolen car that I was driving? None other than KaTe's singing "WoW". How unexpected is that? "...will you be physical again, or be a cosmic vagabond?" And it has one of those awful implemented-in-Flash user interfaces; I was trying to scroll through the bio but found the buttons needed to be hit for some indeterminate but brief amount of time or else the text would not scroll or scroll multiple pages. Not that this will keep me away from seeing the High Violets whenever they come back through Eugene. Their last show was on a Thursday evening before I was to get up at 6 am to go skiing on Friday, so I probably wouldn't have gone to see that show for that reason, but they really sound intriguing. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Jan 2003 11:52:45 -0800 (PST) From: Neile Graham Subject: Re: a couple articles from Eugene Weekly We have their debut disc and like it quite a lot. The music hasn't had quite the same impact on me as Kaitlyn ni donovan's solo work, but it seems pretty indie-ecto. Hard to say what it reminds me of. Perhaps 7=49-era The Moon Seven Times with a contemporary indie flavour and a singer who stays on-key? (The last is for those of you bothered by that aspect of Lynn Canfield's vocals, which I quite like.) Anyway, I'm certain that many ectophiles will like the High Violets. - --Neile On Thu, 30 Jan 2003, Steve VanDevender wrote: > Paul Blair writes: > > Thanks, Steve, particularly for the note about the High Violets--nice > > to see what Kaitlyn ni Donovan's been doing lately.
