It was originally done for and used in the movie _The Craft_. A truly beautiful album, > right > down to the artwork. Glad to see another big-up for Robin H - a unique artiste. Have you discovered her earlier albums? The first two are indispensible, self-titled debut and Rockabye. Actually, there was one before that, Larks, They Crazy, but I've never clapped eyes on it and I suspect it's very rare now. I did get "Little Three," which I thought was lovely, though I haven't listened to it much. Haven't gotten anything else yet, but I plan to. I'm really sorry I didn't see her at Joe's Pub in NYC last summer. It was before I got the album. It was also the same night as Angelique Kidjo's concert, and that let out too late to go see Robin at any rate. I'm going to try to go to at least 1 concert and film a month this year (sort of a belated New Years resolution, I guess). That's quite paltry by ecto standards, but will be about a fourfold increase from previous years for me. So I plan to go to Anne Heaton and Edie Carey's show at the Fez on the 21st and Mila Drumke's show in February (thanks, Paul, for the post). I hope people will repost these closer to the events. As for Matt's dilemma, I don't know anything about Nina Story, but I can't imagine the Anne Heaton/Melissa Ferrick show would be anything less than very good (and most likely excellent). Like Ani, Melissa's live performances are even better than her studio work. I've only seen Anne a little bit live, not a full set, but it was quite good, comparable to her album work. And since you don't have any albums by them, I'd recommend Anne's "Black Notebook" and Melissa's "Valentine Heartache" or "Everything I Need" as starters, or her live one, "Melissa Ferrick + 1." Thanks, also, for the info on Charmed. JoAnn ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V9 #9 ************************
