Michael Bowman and I went to see her here in Portland in September of last year -- rather a somber crowd, only a couple of days after the events of 9/11. But no less intense a show from Susan. I also like to plug my favorite Portland area singer/songwriter/bad-joke- teller whenever I get the chance: Nicole Campbell. Her website is: http://www.nicolecampbell.com/ (includes contact & booking info) Btw, her CDs (_Little Voice_ and _Songs from the Red Room_) not only kick serious butt, but they are both available from CDBaby. As a matter of fact, I just happened to check their bio on her and danged if she isn't a Willamette U. alumna. Cool. I'm not sure when their next tour together might be, though. If LFNY isn't doing anything together in the near future, any of the members would be great individually, as well. I thought it was Lindsay Horner who had family in the area. Hadn't heard about the baby yet, though. This discussion has reminded me that I really should check out Irene Farrera. I've seen her name go by (I think a friend of mine used to do some of her show flyers) but I don't think I've ever seen her perform. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 07 Oct 2002 21:27:02 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Fwd: Anne Heaton October Tour Schedule Hi, Anne Heaton news ... she's currently opening for Melissa Ferrick!
