One of the editors wrote an article about Frank Boeijen websites, and also included the Ecto Guide (in which Frank also is included). In his article, he included Marion's quote that Frank's music could be compared to that of "Harry" Rhodes. After which the editor asked: "Who the hell is Harry Rhodes?" (the typo is his, obviously...) I felt the time had come to write an article about "Harry", which will hopefully be included in the next issue, this summer. I was wondering if anyone had any stories about her career. I can easily use the biography on the Auntiesocial website, but wouldn't mind including some juicy details. :) Any help will be appreciated, and don't worry about writing in English: I'll do the translating to Dutch myself. ;-) Kind regards, Marcel Rijs marcel.rijs@kb.nl afd. I'll be there. I'll be the guy with long blue-black hair. No wait, that doesn't really help, does it? I'll be the guy handing out Happy CDs to anyone who will take one. I'm really excited about the lineup, and as if that weren't enough there's also an acoustic performance by The Mirror Reveals (from the Middle Pillar label) at the Merchants Bazaar on Saturday. I was hoping for an apparence by This Ascension, whose albums I've really been enjoying of late, but maybe next time. I'll also be going to Dracula's Ball that Sunday night, featuring performances by Hungry Lucy and The Dreamside, neither of whom I'm very familiar with, but what I've heard from each I like. Sorry that sentence was so crappy, I'm tired. > Mira (great lead vocals by Regina Sosinski) Last time they played NY I was really blown away by how good they are live. > LoveSpiralsDownward (my favorite) Aren't they just LoveSpirals these days? Their last album didn't do a lot for me, I thought some of the electronic processing did a great disservice to Anji's lovely voice. But I deeply love their previous work, and expect to enjoy them live. > Black Tape for a Blue Girl (Sam's group + great female vocals) The Scavenger Bride is quite wonderful. > Voltaire Always a good time. Pity he isn't doing DragonCon this year. - Larne ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 May 2002 09:16:57 -0400 (EDT) From: "Larne Pekowsky" Subject: Re: gothic ectophiles Dracovixen@aol.com wrote: > Oh my god, I wanna go just to see Voltaire! :) Love Spirals Downwards is > awesome too! Now that we have established this, I would love some advice by you fine folks who are light years beyond me. I recently changed to Road Runner and was VERY disappointed to find out that it uses MS Outlook as its default mailtool. My question is...can I substitute another mailtool as my default so that my rr mail address can still be used, i.e. @kc.rr.com? I really don't want to use a yahoo or hotmail account if I don't have to. Please...all responses can be made offline so as not to bore you smart folks with stuff you already know. And folks...remember who you're talking to. Speak slowly and use small words. Your humble student, Lisa PS... you can respond to this address. I still have the aol account for the time being. npimh...the sound of a very dull monthly report. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 May 2002 00:42:14 -0400 From: "Suzanne DeCory" Subject: violently happy :) Just heard some good news I thought worthy of sharing for those interested, Bjork is pregnant :) A Toltec is an artist of Love, an artist of the Spirit, someone who is creating every moment, every second, the most beautiful art - the Art of Dreaming.
