It's cheap, and it's early (should be over by 9:30 at the latest), so I'd love the support, and sorry for the short notice and non-music-relatedness. I love love love Anne Heaton's Black Notebook and Hannah Fury's Soul Poison. No, I don't have anything intelligent to say about them, I'll just gush, thank you. I like Melissa Ferrick's Valentine Heartache a lot, except, why did she do that terrible cover of Patty Griffin's "Moses"? It's not because it's different, sped up, that I don't like it, but it's very rawly belted out. At least it's the last track so I can skip it. The rest of the album is excellent, traditional Melissa fare. According to CD Baby she has a new one on the way, though I didn't see mention of it on her website. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 Apr 2002 12:17:50 EDT From: Jessweiser24@aol.com Subject: Re: reading from my novel tonight JoAnn writes: > cover of Patty Griffin's "Moses"? Yup, her new one is "Listen Hard" and it's a studio album. Should be out mid-May, although I did find one site that said they have it in already. I'd have to look again... I don't really like her cover of "moses" either, but I do like the record very much! Good luck @ your reading! :) Jessica www.jessicaweiser.com | www.aftersilence.net new album AFTER SILENCE available 5/15 ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V8 #121 **************************
