BTW, in the same time frame as Andrew, I've been using Microsoft's software and I haven't had any virus trouble either. I've had, I think, 2 hits by my virus scanners, both of which were most likely false alarms.. How you configure and use your system is probably more important that what software you run. Now on to a less controversial topic.. wadda ya think about that middle east thing? ;) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Apr 2002 12:45:11 -0400 From: erroclese mortal (by way of invader woj ) Subject: Re: suzanne vega online chat (yesterday) We went to see Suzanne last night at Bottom Line. Thoroughly enjoyable - terrific even. We went to the late show so got to see Christine Lavin who was hilarious, and her song for Vigil was absolutely stunning - I was practically in tears. I didn't care as much for Suzanne's song for the album, cause she seems to be in angry mode right now - and the sentimental or soulful in a sad way songs just don't pack the same punch. Great show though - hope some of you get the chance to see her tonight. kiri wraith@emortal.org >when we last left our heroes, Jeffrey Burka exclaimed: > >>Suzanne Vega did an online chat yesterday at washingtonpost.com. Pravatiner" Subject: A murder of Crow appearances? Meredith's source was accurate, and then some: Sheryl Crow appeared on the Tonight Show two nights in a row, Thursday and Friday. Must have been some kind of contractual commitment :-). Thursday, she was backed up by Liz Phair on "Soak Up the Sun"; Friday, by Stevie Nicks and Natalie Maines on "Come On, Come On." Both were very competently done. Neither was greatly innovative. Such is what TV feeds the mass market where music is concerned. Was just strolling thru the promenade in Santa Monica, and spent over 30 minutes listening to an above average street performer who sounded like a cross between Johnette Napolitano and Ani Defranco. She was singing original songs, accompanied by a guy on acoustic guitar... and when I looked at the sheet it said Julie Neumarck and Roxstar. She had a really good voice, and they seemed like more than just an amateur act... anyone ever heard of them? - -mjm Yahoo!
