It's called: Collective Heart - Happy Rhodes on LiveJournal and it's at: http://www.livejournal.com/community/happy_rhodes/ I was invited...in fact, anyone who listed Happy Rhodes in his/her Interests on LiveJournal probably got invited. :-P It's a good way to spread the Happy-ness. :-) fleur ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2002 17:40:48 EST From: OhtheDrears@aol.com Subject: siouxsie in dc i'm probably going to that. i had a really hard time finding someone to go with though, because i'm in high school, and it's on a school night, and it's $35. but i found someone, so i should be going. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Apr 2002 01:00:08 -0000 From: "neal copperman" Subject: Patty Griffin webcasts These might be of interest to anyone out there who can stream. I don't really know a ton of Irish music beyond Karan Casey, Solas, Altan, and basic stuff like that. If people have some suggestions for acts that would be good for this and won't cost $20,000 (ie not the Chieftains), I'd love to hear from you. This is not an urban avant garde area, so let's not get too Ecto-ish... Thanks Jess ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2002 22:30:36 -0800 From: Birdie Subject: Gay Pride entertainment bookers - LA - SF Hello! Does anyone know who is booking musical talent for entertainment at the SF and LA gay Pride festivals this year?? Thanks in advance!! One option was a Celtic band from Texas by the name of Clandestine. I don't know much about them, but the sound samples were pretty good and I thought they'd be fun to have come do a show. Just the idea of bagpipes and fiddles in Jeff's house was all it took to win me over :) Anyway, you can find out more about them at http://www.io.com/clandestine In case anyone is curious, it looks like we might have successfully lured our second Australian group to New Mexico. If all works out, we'll be hosting The Bluehouse, who are a hilarious in-your-face trio. They were tons of fun at Folk Alliance. Our next show is Friday, with Texan Kristy Kruger (http://www.texasgirl.org). neal np: angelicus - Jaime Michaels At 11:17 PM -0700 4/3/02, Jessica Byers wrote: >Hi there, > >I've just been put in charge of booking the Irish Festival for >Missoula, Montana (to be sponsored by the Missoula Folklore Society >and the Montana Gaelic Cultural Society).
