Ya know, maybe they should make a supergroup with this guy, Brendan Perry, and Einar from the Sugarcubes. They could bill them as The Three Terrors. - - -- Um well I personally liked Brendan best in DCD and thought Einar was good. I'd pay to see the three terrors any day. Finally what do you call a person who keeps promising to do a new cd but pulls out? A disc tease. A person with the initials KB tops the list. A disc tease. A person with the initials KB tops the list." i have to agree with that. however, a newer artist that's kind of nipping at her heels is fiona apple. she took a reeeally long break between her first and second album, and she still hasn't released her third. if kate wasn't such a good artist i would have given up on her a while ago. anyway, hello everyone. :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Mar 2002 13:08:05 -0500 From: Paul Blair Subject: Re: three terrors At 12:30 -0500 3/30/02, OhtheDrears@aol.com wrote: >also, anna maria said "Finally what do you call a person who keeps >promising to do a new cd but pulls out? As for Einar, I've been on a Sugarcubes kick lately, and I have to say that without him it wouldn't BE The Sugarcubes, just Bjork. Not that there's anything wrong with that :-) But their voices do contrast in very interesting ways...My two cents. I'd seen it when it came out, but at the time I wasn't living in Tudor City--most of the last half hour takes place in my neighborhood, as the terrorist with the nuclear weapon tries to get through to the U.N. Snipers on the roof of my building aiming down on Second Avenue. The terrorist walking down 43rd St. towards my building, or down below on 42nd. Toward the end they conjure up an old school and a gothic church unlike anything I've ever seen around here--from the ending, the church would apparently be at the top of 41st Street--but they would both fit the neighborhood really well. (Anybody know where they are in fact?) The end is tense enough, but now after 9/11, seeing it played out in my own neighborhood is pretty darn unnerving. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V8 #90 *************************
