The only lyric that contained "my most imaginary friend" was the Lemonheads's "If I Could Talk I'd Tell You", but that doesn't match the other lyrics. Possibilities by Sleater-Kinney and Chantal Kresomethingiforgotuk turned up red herrings. I'll be quite interested to find out what this turns out to be. - -- | jzitt@metatronpress.com http://www.metatronpress.com/jzitt | | New book: Surprise Me with Beauty: the Music of Human Systems | | http://www.metatronpress.com/nj/smwb.html | | Latest CDs: Collaborations/ All Souls http://www.mp3.com/josephzitt | | Comma: Voices of New Music Silence: the John Cage Discussion List | ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Mar 2002 03:00:01 -0500 (EST) From: Mike Matthews Subject: Today's your birthday, friends... i*i*i*i*i*i i*i*i*i*i*i *************** *****HAPPY********* **************BIRTHDAY********* *************************************************** *************************************************************************** ********************** Barry Wong (no Email address) ********************** ******************* Graham Dombkins (no Email address) ******************** ********************** Ian Young (no Email address) *********************** ********************** Jeff Wasilko (jeffw@smoe.org) ********************** *************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Barry Wong Thu March 19 1970 Merlin Graham Dombkins Fri March 19 1965 Pisces Ian Young Wed March 19 1969 Squiggol Jeff Wasilko Wed March 19 1969 Pisces Geoff Carre Sat March 20 1954 Pisces John Stewart Sat March 21 1970 Aries Bob Brown Thu March 22 1951 Ham Valerie Nozick Thu March 25 1971 Aries Tom Proven Sat March 27 1971 Eat at Joe's Jennifer Albert Wed March 30 1966 Aries (w/Cancer rising!:) Warpaint Mon April 01 1991 Brilliant! I have been forced to buy my own albums back, the ones that are out of print for $7 or $8 and sell them to folks on line waiting for them, how's that for weird?) Oh, it's called EVERYDAY MUSIC, just remembered. Also there is Music Milliennium on Burnside is a great little store with lots of cool music, quite eclectic, a good world section and a seperate classical store. also a small distribution label (I used to be with them, Burnside Records) and lots of fun in store appearances (there is a new one downtown also, but the old one on Burnside rocks. Welcome to music town, you will love it, lots of live music at long ago prices. I miss it. Also, go to Powell's, the bookstore from heaven, 3 city blocks and sip some coffee and read all the weird art mags for free and just wander...do it once for yourself (it's SOOOO PORTLAND!!) and once for me. peace, cyo O'Manion Music PO Box 198 Mill Valley, CA 94941 cyo@landoftheblind.com http://www.landoftheblind.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Mar 2002 02:09:55 From: "Lyle Howard" Subject: Little Jack Melody Hola, boys and girls, A local hero has been commemorated with a 16 minute video at ifilm. I just watched the video with a fairly slow connection. _Across Town from Everywhere_ turns out to be more like a slide show than an actual video. Maybe people with fast connections get more of film-like experience. Anyway, the music is good. Four complete Little Jack Melody songs. And you get to watch the band puzzle over its van. Exciting stuff. Actually, the first segment of the video looks like, seen at a decent speed, it would be a good cinema experience.
