Tapping the Vein is so AWESOME. I first discovered them when I got the track listing for the Tori Amos tribute before it even came out. I systematically went down the list, checking out each band. I downloaded mp3s of TTV at mp3.com, and was blown away. The song "Numb" is a great introduction to them. I saw them twice in upstate NY, and their live performance is amazing. Not to mention they are the nicest people. I work for a radio station, and so Heather (lead singer) sent me a copy of the coming album. I listened to it on repeat for days before returning it to the station to have one of the songs put into heavy rotation. Heather and the guys will also be doing an interview with me at the station, so I'll announce that when it comes. It'll happen on a Wednesday night, 9p-12a...during Pleasure Kittens, a show dedicated to women in music. POE NEWS I should probably mention here, if you are in the Danbury, Connecticut area, this Wednesday night, Feb 13th, my co-host and I will be doing an interview with the lovely lady Poe. She's calling in around 10 pm, and we will be asking her various questions. If anyone's got any ideas for questions we can ask, lemme know. We always like to hear suggestions. The station is WXCI 91.7 FM. We're not always on early in the day, because not all our djs are exactly early-risers...but check us out at night...
