It's my winner for 'Disappointment of the Year'.. wasn't so long ago I would buy just about anything I could find of Tori's, but this one was awful.. I hope she gets back to making some decent music when she changes labels, but at this point I'm not really expecting it. Hmm.. guess I should look through this years CD purchases and see what kinda list I can come up with.. once again this year I'm going for the 'most non-ecto favorites list' spot. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Dec 2001 00:31:08 -0700 From: Jessica Byers Subject: Sarina Simoom >2. Sarina Simoom, "thread bone bare". Though technically released a >year ago, I only discovered it early this year. And the closing track, "thread" gets my Song Of The >Year award. Speaking of that, I just found out that Sarina Simoom broke up. They say they *might* get together and record another CD, but I wouldnt hold your breath. Jenna will probably do some solo stuff or a duo with her guitar player. I'm not sure how many copies of that first CD there are, and I'd be suprised if they re-pressed it, so if you don't have one I would highly recommend ordering one in the near future. It's such a beautiful CD, I hope more people here get to hear it. Their web site www.sarinasimoom.com is really cool, but for some reason a bit weird to navigate. It has some cool pictures of them though, and lyrics and reviews. You just have to surf around. It links to amazon though, so I guess thats the best way to order the CD. Jess PS I like the new Jenn Adams entry in the Ecto Guide! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Dec 2001 23:12:39 +1100 From: Andrew Fries Subject: Re: Sarina Simoom On Mon, 24 Dec 2001 00:31:08 -0700 Jessica Byers wrote: > I just found out that Sarina Simoom broke up. I hate you :) It sure seems lately they break 'em faster than they make 'em... anyway, please keep us posted about Jenna's further career! I'm definitely interested... - ---------------------------------------------------------------- "Directed denial of service attacks. Computer security averted and disabled.
