Wenesday July 25th from 1pm until sunset, music and fun. I, Cyoakha Grace, will appear in my newest configuration, as CYO CYO, an asian DJ....not really, slipped into fantasyland for a second, but I will be doing my DJ thing, which, is a combo of spinning my fav tunes, mixing in live sections, doing my songs with grooves and beats, it's a real mix and folks can't tell what is what (which is what I love). So hope to see you all there, and if not, soon. I will play with Pipa down in Big Sur in a couple weeks with a great line up and then plan to tour east in early Sept, a head's up for any house concert hosts that might want me. He asked me this over the weekend and I wrote a comprehensive and thoughful response, and then for some reason it never went out when I hit "send". Oops. In case anyone else needs the information, here it is: Nearby airports, in order of preference: Hartford/Springfield (BDL) Newark (EWR) LaGuardia (LGA) -- only as an absolute last resort, really All are served by Connecticut Limo, which goes directly to one of the hotels within spitting distance of the ectofest site in Danbury. The nearest Amtrak station is New Haven. Recommended would be to take Amtrak to New York, go from Penn Station over to Grand Central, and then jump on Metro-North to Danbury. A complete Metro-North train schedule from NYC to Danbury/Brewster North will be posted at ectofest.org shortly. Anyone who is coming from out of town, please contact me and/or Chuck Stipak (cjmacs@snet.net) to help arrange transportation. We'll be running shuttles to and from the train station all day, also we can pick people up from the nearby hotels and get them to and from the park. In other news, thanks to RAINN and Atlantic Records we're pleased to be able to present a special sneak preview of Tori's new album, _Strange Little Girls_ in between sets. No crappy MP3's these. :) The jury is still out on whether or not Happy will be playing. We absolutely have to get the lineup finalized by next week, though, so I'll post the final word soon. Either way, we've got a killer lineup for a great cause, and I hope to see a ton of ectophiles there. Tickets will be going on sale shortly, as well. Stay tuned for full details soon. Now, it's time for me to melt into a puddle on the floor ... ugh. Lovely weather we're having here in New England... :P ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org ======================================= ectofest 2001: August 25, 2001 A benefit for RAINN Kenosia Lake Park, Danbury, CT http://www.ectofest.org ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 20:55:27 -0400 From: dave Subject: sarah slean in smalltown x So that's who that was.. I knew she sounded familiar.. If you didn't see it, the shows contestants went into a club and Sarah was there playing Sweet Ones. If I remember correctly it lasted maybe 10 seconds... you'd hear more in a CDNow song clip. dave ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 22:07:47 -0400 From: "Foghorn J Fornorn" Subject: RE: ectofest planning questions The closest airport, excluding county airports, would be Stewart in Newburgh, NY. It's a nice little airport, easy in, easy out, easy access to Interstate 84. It's about a 20 minute drive from ectofest. Stewart went private a few years ago, which apparently means it doesn't come up in airlines schedule/fare searches unless you specifically ask for it. Delta, United and American do fly there. It's code is SWF. There was a stewartairport.com web page, but it isn't working now. Perhaps that's temporary. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 22:14:55 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Fwd: Anna Domino Hi, I received this and thought the ecto mind in general may be able to help ... >Date: Fri, 20 Jul 2001 03:02:51 -0700 (PDT) >From: Danny Radosic >Subject: Anna Domino >To: meth@smoe.org >Cc: dirk.kastens@rz.Uni-Osnabrueck.de > >Hi all, >I found your e-mail addresses through comments you >made on Anna Domino on Ectoguide side.
