Boston-based singer-songwriter Pamela Means is currently on tour across the country, and will be arriving in California during the last 10 days of May. Does anyone here know of an available house concert venue in those locations? You can read more info about her west coast tour at: Thanks in advance for any assistance or advice... Please let me know where you will be flyering, when you will be flyering and how many posters you need. The best poster is 11x17 (duh), but let me know if you need 8 1/2x11 or 1/4 sheets. I got the word from a novel by Gillete Burgess, ca 1930s; "Find the Woman". Burgess coined a variety of words, many of which are quite fabulous inventions. My favorite is currently "supervirescence", describing a chest-beating, dominative, male ego style of behaviour, largely popular with teamsters and construction workers. I'm trying to find the passage so I can post it; it involves a UK procession/demonstration to ban profanity, led by a Professor Hopbottam, which finds its way blocked by a large truck. A furious argument ensues during which the Professor lambasts the driver, whilst never once resorting to profane language. The driver is accused, amongst other things of 'hedonistic, quillet-eating supervirescence" , and is threatened with being "skived into an lamebrachiate (spell?) auxospore" When I find it, I'll post the paragraph on the list; it's quite wonderful. I sat down for an hour once, with the 2-VOl Oxford English Dictionary, and still just had to guess at most of the words, based on their etymology. Most of the words seemed adapted from zoological or medical terms. And answering your other question, I will be a Very Happy-Head on June 9th!
