I knew ecto was the place to go for advice on this. Right now I'm leaning toward getting the Rio Volt, despite the shortcomings that James mentioned, since it seems to be the best of what's currently available. Thanks again....... Sounds good to me--mine is on its way (I ordered it through www.gcv.com--Greek City Video in Canada). With the exchange rate it turns out to be a pretty good deal--especially if you order $100 or more (you get free postage). I'll post more once I hear it. The surprise quickly changed to amused head-shaking when I read the first line of the album review: "Happy Rhodes' debut is an impressive assemblage that echos the past glorys of David Sylvian, Alison Moyet and Kate Bush" Debut? Huh? Anyway, the rest of the review: "Given the content, it's likely to fall on the very in-the-know ears for current radio trends are unlikely to embrace this divas eclectic brand of pop music. Whee this album fails is not in talent, but in her sometimes, almost plodding arrangements of otherwise strong material. The future promise of Miss Rhodes lies with "The Chariot". - Jamie Ikeda On the "they ARE in fact Happy savvy" side, they also have an Artist Profile that is more accurate (Many Worlds not being her debut), and a discography listing 13 recordings dating back to 1984, ALL of which are also in their database with tracklistings, album artwork etc. Needless to say I was impressed overall, after forgetting that "debut" line.
