It was rather ... adolescently effusive. Seeing Happy *and* Veda on the same night .... there had better be some ambulances waiting outside! :) How's about this for a concept: Veda and Erin McKeown, double bill at the Knitting Factory, much multimedia and other cool things happening during the show. That's still being set up but is hoped to be finalized for late spring/early summer. There might be a couple more dates elsewhere on the East Coast if the stars align correctly as well. I had no idea. I didn't love her last one, but I'm still eagerly looking forward to anything new Veda does. My best discovery of late is Haris Alexiou. I remembered hearing her talked about on ecto with such passionate enthusiasm, that even though I couldn't remember what the fan said about her, I felt that I'd like her. And since I had coupons for the Virgin Megastore. So I picked up _Di Efchon_ a few weeks ago, and oh my god. I don't think anyone has ever jumped onto my goddess list so quickly. I was completely enthralled by the first sounds of her voice, and I've played the cd repeatedly, at work and at home. I found a copy of _The Best of Haris Alexiou_ at hmv down the street, and I like that too. It's more traditional music. The live album and the one with a street and number (88 something street) are on their way from hmv.ca, and I am so excited.
