I checked Amazon and B&N and it is OOP and their look-for-it services have people who want from $16 to $40 for used p-backs. I found a used p-back locally for $2.50 but still want a hardback. If anyone [here] sees a used hardback of THE STRESS OF HER REGARD and can resist keeping it for themselves, please grab it and let me know. I'll pay for it and throw in a home-made CD of something you like (if I have any). Bye, thanks, KrW I'm Peter Pan! I'm perpetually young!! OW!! Vinx has lined up an amazing cast of players to get the studio and the wonderful work that he was doing there back in motion. If you're in the LA area, here's an opportunity to show your support! When the international recording artist Vinx re-settled in Los Angeles in 1999, he founded and funded a volunteer-operated recording studio and performance facility called the StankFish Recording and Listening Club. The studio quickly became a beloved community of sharing to many musicians, a place where they could work on their projects in exchange for lending their services to other musicians. In a short period of time, the StankFish Recording and Listening Club became a rare haven where music veterans and students alike were able to take advantage of creative opportunities. Vinx's sponsors, generous friends and musicians donated pieces of equipment to set up the studio, but over eighty percent of the studio was comprised of Vinx's personal equipment. The space was designed for and available to artists of all levels - from the kid just starting out to the seasoned professional. The message that StankFish represented was so inspiring to musicians that many of them dedicated their time to conduct music and voice lessons to children and young artists. During the evolution of the studio, Vinx became involved with the Lili Claire Foundation, an organization that benefits people born with a neurogenetic birth defect called Williams syndrome. Vinx and the Lili Claire Foundation had just embarked on the initial phase of a project that was dear to all involved. Because many children with Williams syndrome have remarkable musical talents and a strong emotional affinity to music, an all-star cast was being assembled to record a children's CD of lullabies, where the top names in the music and entertainment industry would record their favorite lullaby to help raise money for children born with Williams syndrome. Unfortunately, while Vinx was on tour in Europe in December 2000, the studio was burglarized. Most of the studio equipment, computers and instruments were stolen and the Lili Claire Lullabies project was halted. Despite this setback, the commitment that musicians, artists and other supporters have shown to this project is so strong that we refuse to let it die. We shouldn't deprive a new generation of the magic of music because of one negative act. Your support will enable the StankFish Recording Club and the Lili Claire Lullabies CD Project to continue. For additional information, please contact Vinx at vinx@vinx.com. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V7 #48 *************************
