Happy would like to assure everyone that she will make sure that the titles become available to you and soon. These titles are NOT DEAD. Please be patient. They won't stay out of print. She would also like to ask for donations from any graphic artists who would like to give some time to help her out. She is looking for anyone who's interested in LOGO or Banner Ad design, web design and Flash. She is also looking for anyone who may have deep knowledge of Internet Domain name law. She can't pay for services right now, but can offer website links and good word-of-mouth. If you have specific questions, please email Happy at cptbryant@aol.com or through the Samson Music website. I assume that smoe.org would be as good a place as any for her to set up her pages, and to buy a domain name isn't more expensive than that we can raise the money here on Ecto. I got some ideas on how to raise more money - both for Happy to be able to continue recording and to possibly support other artists as well. I'll get back to it in a later posting. ahhh .... Neile: I was so lucky to find a copy of the Cane album here in Oslo, but I forgot your address at home. So if you could give it to me then I'll mail it ASAP. - -- Yngve ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2000 10:20:21 -0700 From: Phil Hudson Subject: RE: Another soundtrack question René: Are you thinking of that Rutger Hauer piece; where he's the blind good guy, (back from the offworld with a souvenir baseball cap)trained by a samurai, peels citrus fruit on the fly with his katana, which is cunningly disguised as his official cool-blind-Zen-dude white stick? He's looking after a young girl who is being chased by the bad guys, of course. Rutger in one of his less memorable roles. I vaguely remember some interesting music in it. Sorry, I can't help with the song, but perhaps at least this is the movie! It probably had the word 'blind" in the title in order to be really creative and original. Blind Justice, or something. BTW "blindingly obvious" ? Inadvertant pun, or are you as bad as me? (And lest you think me terrible for stealing happy's stuff from napster, let me say that the minute I see a Happy CD, or tape, I will buy two copies of it, one for me and one for a friend! so there you go.) Anyway, about Happy's website. I work in internet marketing, so I can offer some advice on Search Engine Optimization. That's about all I can offer, but it's pretty valuable, considering that we charge clients thousands and thousands of dollars for SEO advice! :) (If anyone doesn't know what SEO is, it's when you tweak a website so that it comes up in search engines -- considering that something like 90% of people find 90% of new sites via search engines, spending time on SEO is a good way to drive traffic to a site.) Hope that's useful to Happy and everyone else! :-P Loretta ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2000 20:18:01 +0200 From: Leon van Stuivenberg Subject: Re: Happy CDs/request for help terra@ulster.net wrote: > who's interested in LOGO or Banner Ad design, web design and Flash. I hope Happy can get her name back from that guy. Btw, I own happyrhodes.org, I bought it for Happy last year so no one else would get it. Happy herself owns happyrhodes.net. Go get 'em Happy!!
