My opinion on Shivaree..Excellent record..a late nite thing with lots of mood. The Cowboy Junkies produced by Angelo Badalamenti. Parsley's voice is delightfully soft and sinister by turns. Goodnight Moon is a hit in any fair universe. Arlington Girl makes me weep. This Sunday at 7 PM, Tom Bickley and I (of the ensembles Comma and Gray Code) will be performing with shakuhachi player Phil Gelb at the Downtown Music Gallery, 225 E. 5th St in NYC. Expect unusual improvisations for winds and voices. The show is free (though inside a very good small record store, so be prepared for EWS :-] )! I look forward to perhaps seeing ome of the NYC contingent there. We'll also be performing Thursday in Pauline Oliveros's "Lunar Opera" at Lincoln Center. (And Tom, Matthew Ross Davis, and I will be recording a new Comma album in Brooklyn during the week. One of these days, I gotta remember to take a vacation in which I relax...) - -- |> ~The only thing that is not art is inattention~ --- Marcel Duchamp <| | jzitt@metatronpress.com http://www.metatronpress.com/jzitt | | Latest CD: Jerusaklyn http://www.mp3.com/josephzitt | | Comma: Voices of New Music Silence: the John Cage Discussion List | ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Aug 2000 21:10:23 -0400 From: meredith Subject: FW: Project Lo show dates From Mr. Lozaga: >From: LOLOREC@aol.com >Date: Fri, 11 Aug 2000 14:11:13 EDT >Subject: Project Lo show dates > >PROJECT LO show dates > >PROJECT LO featuring Bon Lozaga, Hansford Rowe, Vic Stevens and special guest >Happy Rhodes will be performing several shows in October.
