In a message dated 7/22/2000 2:07:21 AM, adamk@zoom.co.uk writes: << Personally, I consider it a tragedy that he hasn't done another album (someone, tell me I'm wrong?) >> Hi Adam and anyone else with a similar interest in David Baerwald, You'll be interested to know that David did indeed put out an independantly released limited edition double CD set around December of last year containing a lot of new music. It came in a large cardboard folder that contained both CDs, a large book with lyrics/liner notes and each copy came autographed and numbered. The title is: "A Fine Mess (A collection of Demos, Board Tapes and Other Debauchery)" and is credited to David Baerwald & The New Folk Underground featuring Will Sexton. Disc One is primarily a new studio album and disc two contains lots of rarities, demos and previously unreleased studio material. Two tracks that may be of particular interest to some ectophiles are "Smart In A Stupid Way" which is an unreleased duet with Sheryl Crow and an unreleased studio recording of the traditional "Hellbound Train" with Jewel on vocals. This CD set was issued by a company called Palindrome Recorder, Inc. The address listed on the set is: 401 Market Street, Venice, CA 9O219. Hope that helps! One icelandic singer i'd highly recommend is Anna Halldorsdottir - "Vifftir Moprgnar"...truly beautiful stuff but awfully obscure...it was released on R & R musik in 1996. Regarding other concerts in iceland, bjork appears to be playing in august (after I already have left :( i miss both bellatrix and bjork: Borgarfjörður Where: Reykholt, W Iceland When: 15.
