Seems I've forgotten to recommend one of my favourite swedish bands, Honey is Cool. Their singer Karin Dreijer sounds a lot like Björk. The music goes from Pixies-like frenzy to synthpop. Their first album Crazy Love is very cool as is its follow up Early Morning are You working?. Recently they covered Rod Stewart's disco song Baby Jane and turned it into a country heartbreaker. Karin's delivery of the line "now you're moving in high society" is priceless. Anna Maria np-Arson garden-Under Towers __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'm afraid I've been somewhat negligent in updating the web-page lately, but I promise I would have done so if there were anything that important was happening. I had a message from Ashley recently to say that her second child, a daughter, was born on May 1st. This is wonderful news, but does mean that I doubt she'll be performing or recording anything much for the next few months. - -Anthony ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 15:32:32 -0400 From: Kirk Lilley Subject: mp3 player this mp3 player has a 4.3gb HDD and small LCD screen. they say it can hold 80 hours of music. on the downside, it costs something like $800. http://www.pjbox.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 16:32:10 -0700 From: Neile Graham Subject: Used and rare disc sites? Hi, all-- We're getting an increasing number of people writing to us to try to find used and rare discs that are listed on the Guide. The only site I'm really aware of to find these things is www.gemm.com, and I hate only sending people to one site. Is there anywhere else I could list when I respond to people? Thanks! - --Neile n.p.
