We hardly need the >Britannica marketing folks (read: encyclopedia salesmen) to reaffirm that. I agree with Chris. My vote would be to not even bother to include the award banner. People who use the site will appreciate it for what it is, and like or dislike it accordingly. It seems like there are so many different meaningless accolades given out on the net, and every site is a top 1000 something or other. If there were some sort of recognized meaningful award, that would be something to consider, but this just smacks of those meaninlgess honor society type letters. neal np: Favorite Ball & Chain - Marlee MacLeod ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Feb 2000 03:00:05 -0500 (EST) From: Mike Matthews Subject: Today's your birthday, friend... i*i*i*i*i*i i*i*i*i*i*i *************** *****HAPPY********* **************BIRTHDAY********* *************************************************** *************************************************************************** ********************** Ilka Heber (no Email address) ********************** *************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Marvin Camras Sat January 01 1916 Tapehead Jeanne Schreiter Tue January 03 1967 Capricorn John Sandoval Wed January 04 1967 Capricorn Paul Cohen Tue January 05 1954 Capricorn Tony Garrity Mon January 08 1962 Pool of Life Greg Bossert Tue January 09 1962 OfTheTimes Troy J. I'm happy to see that so far there doesn't seem to be any argument about this, and I just want to add my vote of agreement with the general feeling: it's just a marketing gimmick on part of Britannica; we don't need it, and we stand nothing to gain from it.
