Rob(bie) Williams' "Millennium" would be another song I should think will be getting a lot of airplay, also. I suspect I shall ring in the New Year as I pack up boxes to move house with Fiona's "When The Pawn". That record is at once sheer pain and brilliance. Remarkable. And yes, I am quite possibly the most boring 21-year-old alive tomorrow evening, I know! Oh dear! :) I hope everybody has a wonderful evening come the 31st ... I know some overseas Ectophiles are admirers of Deborah Conway's work, thus I thought you might be interested to hear that Deb and Willy are now the proud parents of a third daughter, named Hettie Ira Zygier. She was born today (December 30th) at 11:43am (Australian time) :) For musical content: Deb's latest record, "Exquisite Stereo", is slated for release in early 2000; she thinks around February or March. A few weeks ago she released a single, "Happy New Year", which is available exclusively through Sanity Music stores here in Australia. (And also online: www.sanity.com.au) I've actually got an additional copy of the single -- I wondered, would anybody be interested in doing a trade for a copy of Aimee Mann's "Bachelor No.2" E.P? Oh yes, the woes of being a credit card-less uni student, eh? Damn ;) Heidi. - --------- in search of love and music / my whole life has been / illumination / corruption / and diving diving diving diving / diving down to pick up on every shiny thing / just like that black crow flying / in a blue sky ... -- *joni mitchell* * heidi maier -- maier@joynet.com.au * ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Dec 1999 09:34:59 -0500 From: Laura Clifford Subject: Kieslowski lovers rejoice! I just saw an announcement that Kieslowski's Decalogue, his 10 1 hour films based on the 10 commandments, will finally be released on video (and hopefully DVD) in the US on March 28! As seeing this over 2 days at Cambridge's Brattle theater was one of the highlights of the decade for me, cinematically, I'm just thrilled...
