If you manage to find the "Moments of Pleasure" single, you can add "Home for Christmas" to your seasonal colleKTion... As for filling that unfortunate gap among your albums :) I doubt I can add anything to the (I imagine) vast numbers of KaTe comments in the ectoguide, so I recommend having a good read, and picking out one or more albums based on that (Although if the vocals in DWBMA scared you, you have a few interesting experiences in store :) - -Philip n.p. (or indeed any information about them whatsoever!) I stumbled across the following information, but a brief web search didn't turn up any sources for obtaining the disc, even at the mentioned www.darla.com (I suspect the fate of the distributor meant their stocks ran out :/ ) > Her new project is called Lost Girls and according to Tim Hall, > "is essentially Heidi + Patrick Fitzgerald (ex-of Kitchens of > Distinction & Fruit). "a mucho fantabulous drifty, echoey, guitar-effected bunch." to be precise :) I'm hoping to be able to include more than the one sentence about them in the ectoguide, though! would anyone care to offer their opinions? Until my copy of Soundpool arrives, I only have the track "No Motion" from the "Lonely is an Eyesore" compilation to go by (it's one of my favourites on that album, though.) (for the interested, Soundpool is a recent re-master/re-release of their 1981 "Huremics" and "Vibrating Air" 12" EPs, along with the aforementioned "No Motion".) thanks muchly in advance (i hope :) - -Philip n.p. (Beatles birthplace) For those into nostalgia, in a couple of hours (3pm ET), Paul McCartney will be having a live web cast from the very club the Beatles were born in. www.msn.co.uk/cavern The USA Today says: Paul McCartney is going home tonight. The singer returns to Liverpool's tiny Cavern Club, where the legend of the Beatles was born more than 40 years ago. Only 300 fans, most chosen by raffle, will watch the show in person. {snip} McCartney first played the Cavern on January 24, 1958 with his band, The Quarrymen, which also featured John Lennon and George Harrison. Got it locally, eventually through Darla, though at the time (first part of the year, I think) they only got a half dozen copies at a time. It took a while. It's interesting. But, alas, it only seems like a snapshot. It's not characteristic of her previous work. It's not bad, mostly it's different. As far as I'm concerned, she could do variations on "Miracle" for several more albums and I wouldn't complain. Ann Woods' viola/violin work on "Miracle" was astounding. I'd be the last to require of an artist that they stay in one groove. I guess my major reactions to "Needle's Eye" are disappointment that it's not "the same" and breathless anticipation of what new direction this is, if it's for real.
