Anyone who goes to this film expecting a splatter/slasher gorefest will be sorely disappointed. There's hardly a drop of blood in it. The film lets your imagination do most of the work and it's *very* effective for those, like John, and most Ectophiles I'd imagine, with vivid imaginations. >and mine >is all-over-the-place enough as it is, so now I'm a >complete nervous wreck, and I've been scared of the >dark and afraid to look at corners for the past two >days, and I'm still giving myself chills in thinking >about it. Noticed Happy was playing in something called > Project Lo - anyone have any info on this? Nope. Never heard of it. Oh...wait...this is the Happy Rhodes mailing list. We're supposed to know stuff like that... Project Lo is a collaborative effort put together by guitarist Bon Lozaga. Happy appears on their second album, _Black Canvas_, singing a cover of Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street" and a track by Lozaga, "Perfection." The album proved to be pretty popular round these parts, and not just for the Happy material. It's jazzy, new-agey, ambient rock fusion of some type. And the cover of "Mercy Street" is simply _not_ to be missed. Happy did a couple of shows with Project Lo back in 11/97. As I recall, she did vox on 5 songs...the two above, plus "D.I.D", a Bowie cover, and...er...I think it was something off _Warpaint_. Great show... Anyway, hope this helps. (thank you so much, I am flattered and inspired to get back into my collages/photography as soon as this damn album is finished!). Then I took it home and listened, everyone's work was high standard, well recorded and very interesting, even songs that were not my style, I really enjoyed. I will write more to the artists later and want to contact and collaborate in the future, but for now, just wanna say 'DAMN GOOD JOB" to everyone and especially foghorn for doing ALL THAT WORK!!!Artists are so process sometimes, we enjoy the making so much, that once it's done, we let go quite easy and it is fine and wonderful for someone else occasionally to pick up our finished gems and polish them and place them on a velvet scrap and hand them back to us so we can say, "wow, who made that".
