I've been taking the info that people have been posting here WRT the Happy shows and how to get there, and using it to update the ecto news page. If anyone doesn't want me just taking their info and pasting it there (I'm doing it with credit, don't worry :), please put something into the note when you send it to the list and I'll keep it out of my "to be posted on the news page" batch. Does anyone want to be the official contact person for organizing the D.C. caravan for the Philly show? I can put that on the news page too. Also, if someone wants to be the point person for organizing a gala pre-show gathering in Philly, please speak up. It looks like this will be the best-attended show by far, and it'll be cool for everyone to get together while we're all in town. If I were in Philly I'd volunteer, but I'm not, so I'll just be in charge of spreading the news via the web page. :) While I'm here, Kevin reported: >Thought you kids might want to know......... Imogen Heap at the Joyous Lake in >woodstock, NY on Sept 27th.....cost .....$1.01 This show will also be webcast at , just like Happy's Bearsville show will be. (I have to say that the way this "tour" is shaping up is rather disappointing ... only 4 gigs, one of which is falling through, and another of which is effectively closed to the public?!? What on earth is that supposed to accomplish???) +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | New Haven, CT USA http://www.smoe.org/~meth | +==========================================================================+ | "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille | | *** TRAJECTORY, the Veda Hille mailing list: *** | | *** http://www.smoe.org/meth/trajectory.html *** | +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Sep 1998 23:46:25 -0400 From: meredith Subject: susan mckeown tour dates Hi! Apologies if this has been posted here before, but I don't recall seeing the whole listing of Susan McKeown gigs here lately. She's all over the place for the next few months - if she's coming to your neck of the woods, by all means go! And if you get to say hello to her while you're there, do tell her you're an ectophile. :) ============ Saturday, 19 September - Celtic Heritage Festival / Sacramento, CA / 916.929-0356. Nothing too involved -- just scoping out a reasonable place to meet before the show and letting everyone know about it. It's worth checking out. (I suspect this page will be up all weekend, but likely will be gone come Monday) It's at http://www.usatoday.com/life/lphoto.htm Mike :-) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Sep 1998 00:02:09 -0500 (EST) From: 00jnweiser@bsuvc.bsu.edu Subject: OAC: One more thing on Chan Marshall, then I'm done, I swear! :) First, her name, though spelled w/ a C is pronounced *Shawn* :) Second, CD Now has all of her CDs, included Moon Pix (advanced order cause it's not out till the 22nd), they sell between $11-14. You can also get them through her label. Third, she sounds really cool...I've read a bunch of articles tonight and reviews and stuff--interesting! :) Gotta finish my new tape of material :), jessica n. weiser - http://adam.nettfriends.com/Jess "what has happened" - my 5 song EP available now through the website! ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V4 #334 **************************
