Gee meth, it's hard for me to imagine you shrieking "I LOVE YOU TORI!!!!". Glad to know you aren't predictable :) Neal np: Rebecca Timmons - Rebecca Timmons ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 00:27:31 EDT From: Penta5@aol.com Subject: Phil Ochs and Roy Harper Hello all, As a big fan of Ochs for many years, I find it interesting that he is only remembered for his protest songs. I'm sure it has to do with radio formats these days. Anyway, his songwriting abilities were far and away more complex than the three cord drivel currently offered on most stations. The songs already mentioned are great examples of this. I don't recall if "Changes" was mentioned but, it has a style all of its own. You could say that some of his material falls into the Ecto category to some extent and I heartily recommend that people interested in exploring some of the older folk music give him a listen. You just might be surprised. As for Roy Harper, he seems to be on a small N.A. tour. I am posting the shows for those of you not making the Knitting Factory gig.
