They have an album out called "Breath from Another" and they're supposed to be ambient...any opinions out there? for you Sarah freaks, there is a pretty nice ad for her single "Adia" in some music magazines including the latest Billboard (back inside cover)... I finally played Emm Gryner's "Summerlong" on my radio show today...first time i heard the song...if it's given a chance, i think it could do EXTREMELY well on modern rock and top 40 stations...it's got the goods to be a "summer" song...i think that there is a mention of Emm at www.alloyonline.com if someone wants to check it out...her album is slated for a july 7th release also. Lisa Germano and Grey Eye Glances have albums coming out on the 21st of July. Everyone go out and get Patty Griffin's album _Flaming Red_ now! or at least listen to it once...i briefly scanned the credits for the cd and didn't see Emmylou Harris' name pop up once...mebbe i missed it...sadly enough, the promo copy that i got a little while back from ger perez (thanks again, ger...your posts kick ass...so shut up and keep on schmoozing *grin*) didn't have guest credits listed, but i thought that there were points that sounded very much like emmyloud harris, especially on the song "Mary"...can someone confirm or deny her involvement? hmm....lemme see...oh yeah, Billy Bragg and Wilco have an album out today called _Mermaid Avenue_ which is a collection of songs they wrote, taking lyrics from Woody Guthrie that his daughter found and putting them to their own music...pretty fascinating stuff and a great collaboration.
