Yep, that would be me - I've always felt that DCD could use more guitar and, uh, less Brendan Perry's vocals... I was already curious after reading Craig's description, but I guess now I'll really have to get hold of their stuff. And I was supposed to cut back on my CD purchases !!!! Absolutely. DO NOT miss Yo La Tengo. Don't know how Ecto their stuff is, but their last album, _I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One_ is incredible, by far my favourite of last year. Their music sounds like New York City feels -- the soundtrack for standing on the apex of several nerve endings. Very droney and melodic, with some spine-tingling wonderful things about it. Highly recommended. - --Chelsea (the sad girl on her birthday) - ---- Chelsea, the mod pixie tugboat@channel1.com "It's easier to fall in love when there's distance between hearts. I've been getting a few last minute orders for Happy's older CD's lately and need to inform all interested parties here on Ecto, that I'm outta ECTO. Rhodes II is next! I know that some of these titles are in overstock at our warehouse in Phila. but those are earmarked to go to Samson who will either repackage, destroy or whatever. They might just put a sticker on them and sell them mail order. I don't know. Just keepin' y'all up to date. If you've already ordered or called to have CDs put aside, you're covered. Her disc "I Megaphone" will be out on June 16. The comparisons to Kate, Tori, and others will be coming I'm sure. She's 6' tall and a mane of red hair. She's also been playing piano since age 4 with lots of classical training! The disc has spent a lot of time in my player the last several days. I will be attending a conference from June 7-10. I hear it is a pretty cool place and look forward to visiting. The conference is going to be pretty laid back and I will have some free time to look around the city. Chicago was awesome, btw. I can't wait to go back! :) take care, Cheri ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V4 #169 **************************
