A few years back I swapped a bunch of copies of Margot Smith's album "Sleeping With The Lion" with other ectofolk, as it wasn't readily available elsewhere, and one of the swaps was for a CD of "Ecto". If you're the person I was going to be getting Ecto from, I don't think you ever got around to sending it, and if you still have it I'd very much appreciate it if you could get in touch as I still don't have it on CD. If it helps, my address at the time would probably have been philip.sainty@comp.vuw.ac.nz thanks, - -Philip ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 8 May 1998 13:12:30 -0700 (PDT) From: Greg Jumper Subject: Re: 11th Hour Victory Regarding ensuring continued availability of Happy's older material, Kevin wrote: I just had to keep fighting for that stuff. Thank you! I've got all of Happy's albums, but it's good that fans-to-be will still have access to earlier works. For me personally, I just love to see someone stick to their principles this way. I am sending this announcement out to you a bit early because I will be far away on that day. Or perhaps very nearby. This book of poems came out of strange times for me and the Ship-Called-Sheeba. Much questioning, cord-cutting, listening, and work. Much work. Simple, basic work. Not that this is what the poems are necessarily about. But there were times when I would sit in the office alone late at night, reading mail, fully aware that the words coming from you to me were a protection and a blessing. I thanked you silently then and I hope to give thanks more directly to you now with this book. Joy Bee. If the latter, > then I can answer "yes". I was able to purchase the CD at their show in St. > Louis (with Dar!) about three weeks ago. I think it really was out of print for a while. It wasn't for sale at there shows for a couple of years, their web site hasn't had it listed except in cassette format (and that is still true), and it hasn't been available through the newsletter. I know many people who were unsuccessfully looking for it. Maybe if I send them $10,000, they'll stick a copy in Moby for me :) Neal np: Projeckt Two ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V4 #145 **************************
