Apart from the updated version of her 1960s hit "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee", the album has a whole bunch of other strong songs, personal favourites (today) are probably "Starwalker" and "Disinformation" but all the tracks are good. Several tracks include Native American musicians playing traditional music woven into Buffy's songs. Definitely worth getting! Anybody know if she has made any other albums like this one? You cannot expect to say the words "Indigo" and "Girls" around here without getting some kind of faintswoon reaction from me... :) "1200 Curfews" (sorry Neal, you had 800 too many *grin*) is a wonderful wonderful album. It's got a wide range of IG stuff on it, from one of their very first-ever recordings (circa 1981) I believe, recordings from earlier next year... from slow ballads to dancealong singalongs... it's a way fun record. :) Neal, which songs didn't appeal to you? Alanis Morresette, Joan Armatrading, Scarlett Rivera, Nina Hagan, Laura Nyro, Deborah Harry(and Blondie!), Annie Haslam + Rennaisance, Joni Mitchel, Milla, Bonnie Raitt, Sinead O'Conner all take up lots of space in my cd and vinyl storage. That was the wierdest show of the century, not for the sqeamish or faint of heart, and by the size of the audience at the end of the show, not for any but the biggest fans. (I guess that counts Meth& woj...) She really was trying to experiment and create but she didnt let us or the band in on that really.. What a band! That David Mansfield (Dylan, Neil Young, everybody) is amazing.. He doesnt have to know the songs to really be great. I loved hearing all those songs though.. She must have done at least a dozen that I or the band had never heard. Plus 4 or 5 that she hadnt ever heard (or written).. She loves to write on stage, but it was a very rough night, though as a performer she never got the ball rolling.. The St. Anns gig was really quite spectacular and she really shined in that venue..
