Did anyone else hear the story about Kristen having a brain tumor. I see stuff like this every day! Kight-Ridder, AP, UPI, Tribune wire services...I see the same articles over and over and over again, in papers all over the country! That's one of the (many) reasons people use a service like Bacons...clients aren't interested in what the article says, because they've seen it, but they are interested in knowing how many papers carried the press release. People such as the Arnolds, Penny Marshall, Richard Gere, Dennis Miller and tons of other celebrities use the service. More obscure people do too. I saw at least 10 articles about the zydeco artist Queen Ida (who is *wonderful* if you ever get a chance to see or hear her) last week. That one seemed to run along the "national/local" line that AlanM was talking about. The bulk of the article was the same, but parts were re-written or added to, by a local reporter. The most obscure person I've seen use the service was some auto racer who came in 11th at the Indy 500. Since just about all the papers listed the entire lineup, this guy got thousands of clippings! ======================================================================== From: jessica > They are in the archives (hardees.rutgers.edu:~ftp/pub/hr, for those who > don't already know), in gif/Equi*.
