Please unsubscribe me from ecto, until I've cleared up some personal problems I've got to deal with myself right now. I can't possibly keep up with reading right now. I hope I'll be able to join you again sometime, and for those interested, currently I'm doing fine and hope to behave less insane in the future. Happy's music has already been a big help in my recovery process. :-) Albert ======================================================================== Date: 5 June 1992 13:21:34 CDT From: Subject: Not ready for the ecto birthday list, but... Birthday greetings of sorts to: 1) Capitol Records (50 today) 2) The Chicago elevated system (100 tomorrow) 3) The Haight-Ashbury summer of love (25 this summer, as I was reminded by a radio factoid recitation this morning) (If nothing else, it's clearly a good season for multiples of the number 25.) A more germane question would be: do postings, like win e, improve with age? Regarding Jeff's envy of those with enough money to buy CD's right now: Today I bought a goodly stash of cassettes, at a going out of business sale. The man asked me if, with my obvious love of music, I was considering going the CD rout e. I said no, doing what I was doing netted me more music for less money, besi des which there are several schools of thought on whether CD sound quality was _really- that superior. There may be a lesson in all that somewhere, and if you give me a week or two I may be able to figure out what it is :-).
