I'm going to type it in just the way it is in the liner. [well, as usual I got carried away. I decided I wanted them all typed in. This isn't all of them yet, but my fingers are tired. I know it's not quite happy-related, but it is in a way since I woudln't be listening to this if it weren't for happy. :) not right *now* anyway. or at least not from the same path of events. anyway I figured i'd include them all, you can awlays just skip it/delete it if you're not interseted, and maybe some of the lyrics will catch someone's attention. and now bed for me..] TWO FACES (EL MIRAGE DESERT VERSION). I stand between the left and the right.Between two faces, day and night. Back there I see the ancient past. And here it is,it seems to last.People never learn to see.The things that are,and that will be.Attach the word to the image in the brain and watch as life goes down the drain. How can two faces have one mouth when there are two music. How can one mouth hold two words and mean nothing.I need two faces to sing one song.I need two faces to mean one thin.To mean something I need no mouth. Two faces have two eyes when they stand as close as love. Two faces have two eyes when they stand as close as love.If right is right and left is wrong.I need two faces to sing this song.I need two faces to play this game.I need to be just enough insane.I am aware of what I'm at.I stand between the good and bad.I know that 'cause it is written in the book. For each event the perfect hook. How can two faces have one mouth... How can one mouth.... Two faces have two eyes when they stand as close as love. Two faces have two eyes when they stand as close as love. Two faces have two eyes when they stand as close as love. Two faces have two eyes when they stand as close as love. (In the box is a picture of katharina and Urike, heads looing up with land and mountain in the distance.) BIG FAT CAT. Slowly - catlike - like a big fat cat. Walking, she's waltzing. In and out of this life. Your last life before your daddy died. She was mysterious and pretty. But now, she's got a smell of her own. And many different faces. Her taste is somewhat bitter. And if you follow her traces. It gets so confusing... you confuse me - you confuse me. Oooh, daddy kept showing me. How to play tricks on you. And still walk away with dignity. Yeah, mama never falters. As long as mama's her name. And no matter what I did. You were there to take the blame. But now I found, you're a cat. And you live seven different lives. It gets too confusing... you confuse me - you confuse me. Big fat cat.. I'll get ya. Big fat cat... I know I'll get ya. THE WORLD IS GROWING OLD. All shout when the music is loud. When the music is low they all wanna go. All scream when the music is fast. When the music is slow they don't really know. If my faces are pretty I've got an excuse. If I know what I want then I got something to lose. Well, the money's good. But I am not amused. UUHWEE, the world is growing old. All dance when I bang the right drum. When I'm on the wrong track, I erase what I had. >From time to time as I move along. I take a look back to see waht went wrong. Well, the future is close and I'm rotten to the core. It's gonna be too late when it knocks on my door. Yeah the money's too good. But I'm not amused. UUHWEE, the world is growing old. Feed me! Feed me! Feed me! All ywan when I am what I am. When I am what they are it's kinda going too far. When they open the doors I gotta hesitate. If they open their wallets I mustn't wait. I could afford a fast car and save my soul. Or I could kill the leader and live like a mole. But the money's too good. And I am not amused. Feed me! Feed me! Feed me! INVISIBLE. You look up to your Jesus, he seems so far away. Your whole world is changing from coloured into grey. It's sad how you come crawling out of this romance. But aside from your Jesus I just couldn't stand a chance. No chance! no way! Oh, but I surely miss it sometimes (sometimes I miss it, oh). As now I walk the crooked lines (I like to walk the crooked lines). I found it so hard to discover. They were over (they were over). The times, when I was invisible. My coat of dreams is torn, the shreds are crumbling in my hands. All the birds have spread their wings to sail the foreign lands. Wisdom does prevail, when wisdom is allowed. To think about a fight and dare to risk it, is better than to fight a thought that is right, but risky. Oh, but I surely miss it sometimes (sometimes I miss it oh. As now I walk the crooked lines (I like to walk the crooked lines). I found it so hard to discover. Hey we're over (they are over). The times, when I was invisible. I found myself a new love and I feel so good these days. When I look back I can spot that old old companion in the haze. He never cared to look at me, he never dared to see. How he turned and whirled and danced and stirred. How he died for me, just to please me. To keep me. Oh but I surely miss it sometimes (sometimes I miss it, oh). As now I walk the crooked lines (I like to walk the crooked lines). I found it hard to discover. They were over (they are over). Thetimes, when I was invisible. MYSTERY TRAIN. Once I dreamed I lost my shoes. Then I found I'd lost my feet. Once I thought I lost my sight. Then I found I lost my vision. Once I felt I lost my soul. There I wished I'd lose my mind. I threw a coin for St. Antoine. He said: put your money in the bank. It never helped anyone. Taking a ride on this mystery train. Taking a trip to my heart is all in vain. Don't throw a coin. Throw a stone. St. Antoine left all alone on this foolish parade. Once I dreamed I was a star. Then I found I was the whole universe. Once I thought I'd lost my pride. Then I found I'd lost a reason why. So I sang to lose my fears. When they were gone I felt so lonely. I threw a coin for St. Antoine. He said: put your money in the bank. It never helped anyone. Taking a ride on this mystery train. Taking a trip to my heart is all in vain. Don't throw a coin. Throw a stone. HA! HA! HOUDINI'S LAUGHING. I used to live close by the river. I used to let my heart go with the stream. I knew I held the key to any door. I held the key to everything and more. Once upon a time I took it easy. Once upon a time I took it rough. I used to earn my living with the things I love. Now they pay for what I love not. The river's running backwards. And my heart is quickly closing now. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Houdini's laughing. Laughing last. Ha! Ha! Houdini's laughing. Houdini's laughing last. I've been sliding down this track of tears. Swimming with this water chute. Drowinging in discontent. But now the sun is shining with a different grin. It can be cold as ice. It can be hot as fire. Burning in my eyes. I used to live near the border. I used to say good morning to the wall. Today they sell the truth at every corner. It seems that they can't stand the truth at all. Once upon I took it badly. Once upon I felt so fine. I wanted to hold on but I could hardly. Remember everything, all that was mine. The running backwards. And my heart is quickly closing now. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Here's another collection of '>'s and comments. kIrI wrote: > COME ON PEOPLE WHO CARES HOW MUCH IT COSTS ---- IT'S HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Nonono kIrI, this is not the point. We _should_ care how much it costs, even though we are willing to pay it. We fans don't care to pay that much, but some people (including me) are afraid that the price of the ticket will keep other people from seeing the concert. Just imagine that you just know 'Feed the Fire' from WFNX and are considering to see the concert. Wouldn't you be turned off from the price? I would be very surprised (but pleased, of course) to hear that the concert will be sold out. > kIrI --- >>> I WANT TO BE LENE LOVICH <<<<< thanks to Vickie once again I am > now addicted to this woman of weirdness! I was afraid to get this response. Finland is a bit far away. With only some more time and money you could go to the concert. If the party should happen, let us know if you changed your mind. woj about Rainbirds: > i can pick a fave song though: "blueprint" is just plain magnificent. Ute? The 'U' is fine; it's Ulrike Haage on keyboards. Yeah, this change came as a big surprise. At first I didn't see a big difference, mainly because Katharina's voice still stands out from the music, but now I'm missing some of the guitar parts of the first two albums. Although some of the keyboard playing on "Two Faces" is very good. back to work ... ... What confused me is that Riikka is listed in the "member's file" as "Rikka Perttu" (Jessica, you should change that :-) and I got all flustered when I saw that. I'm ok now... I will ask Happy about the taping and cameras *after* she's heard the HGP. :-) :-) Kiri, I'm glad you made it back in one piece, with the storm right behind you, I was worried. I can't believe you drove that in one long stretch! I was worried about you, when your mom called and said you'd left to try to beat the snow. I think I'll call you Lene "Demon Driver" Snow. Well, maybe I won't. Oh say, hey, Perttu or Klaus, did either of you happen to *TAPE* "Rocket Man" because if you did, 1) we have a PAL machine (as Klaus well knows, btw, according to alt.tv.twin-peaks, the last 8 episodes will air starting Jan 18 in Germany) and 2) we have access to get it transferred to NTSC! Pleasepleaseplease tell me one of you taped it. Oh, yeah, Kevin said that they will have T-shirts on sale at the concert. They are in the process of choosing designs (I believe Happy artwork is involved) and kevin wants to keep the price down. He asked me the average price of concert Ts and I told him $18 or $20 but that I would very rarely pay that much. I haven't bought a T at a concert in ages, mainly because they are so expensive. He said that he is going to try and keep the price around $14.99. Also, though Warpaints will probably be sold there, no 1st4s will be. I think it's a shame, because I think they'd sell. He just doesn't have the time to mess around with dubbing a quantity of them. Individual orders are no problem (Bob, he was dubbing yours when I called) but not a bunch to sell at a concert. He's determined that they will be out on CD ASAP. I don't know when that "ASAP" is, but it could be with a few months. Who knows? Kevin said the acoustics at the auditorium are a "nightmare" because it's a "tiled dome" and Chris joked that we should all bring mattresses! Kevin used to be a lighting guy, who worked with Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendryx and lots of other people. I'll try to get him to write down details (I'm waiting for his synopsis of his Sesame Street work too) He seemed to trust the promoter completely, and said that he was suprised that the afternoon DJ (per Bob's post) didn't know about the concert. He said he was sure that most of the other DJs know about it. It will be promoted on WXPN, they just haven't started yet. Dan Segel, did you ever find out anything about French postage? Laura, what did your cousin think of the signed Warpaint?
