And I'm pleased you like the Rainbirds. They're definitely the most interesting Germany had to offer during recent years and they don't get the publicity and sales figures they deserve. Certainly not internationally. It would be very interesting if you considered covering one of their songs for the fun of it. Your voice is quite different from hers (hers is unlike any I've EVER heard and absolutely impossible to describe), and you could add some rather interesting facettes to the music. But this was supposed to be about those T-shirts. Great lay-out! About the colour I'm not so sure. What exactly is royal blue? If it's like navy blue (i.e. rather dark) there might not be enough contrast to the black parts of the picture, your sketch showed that most of it is on the outside of the picture. Perhaps Klaus had a useful idea there: Chose the T-shirts the colour the blue bits of the pictures are supposed to be (if there is that much choice in T-shirt colours that is) and don't print these parts. But on the whole it sounds really good! You've seen the colours, so you decide. (All this aside from the fact that I practically *never* wear blue usually, but for Happy I'll make an exception!) Why, if they're ready on the 27th you might just be able to get ours to me before I leave (Feb 15th), so we'll save some shipping cost! Otherwise the price sounds perfectly reasonable. I can't wait to see the other one (the -Zine one)! Hm, maybe for a drawing ordinary white ones would be the best background. And the printing in dark blue? I will be posting a review to rec.music.folk and rec.music.reviews. Meanwhile: I spoke to both of them after the show. Christine was eager to tell me that Kristina Olsen (*) has been signed by Rounder. I told her I had a friend with a radio show called "Suspended in Gaffa" who I told all about Kristina. She said, "Oh, I know her. She sent me a couple tapes of music. I still play them." Then we talked a little about your show and what you're trying to do. She loved the term "boyz with guitarz". (*) For the rest of you: Kristina's really good. I think so, and Christine thinks so. You can think so, too, some time after you write to Take A Break Productions, Box 21, Venice CA 90294 for mail order prices on her two albums. -- David.
