So, Meredith, Am I right in assuming that since you made a shameless plug for a book written by someone with the same last name as yours that you are related to the author? That's cool--I really like Judith Tarr's books, and am especially fond of The Hound and the Falcon Trilogy, which is IMHO one ofthe best trilogies in the genre. Really magic, if that's not too much of a pun. I finally bought Fotheringay today, after having a tape of it for years. It's even better than I remember. Sandy Denny had an amazing voice. Jim just put The Moon Seven Times on. Interesting...I didn't think he liked it. It's a rainy gray Saturday. Probably a good time to do my taxes--U.S. and Canadian. :P --and stop filling up ecto with rambling miscellany. By the way, I just wanted to ask someone to add a Tasmin Archer response to the Ectophiles Guide. Please do take the time to respond--and remember that the most important info is your opinions on the artists. We can pick up the catalog info etc. later, if you don't have the time and/or energy! A entries are welcome till April 13. We'll be calling for B entries Tuesday. Thanks for all responses so far! --Neile ======================================================================== Subject: Music, Animals, and Sendmail: Next on Geraldo Date: Sat, 03 Apr 93 18:15:37 -0500 From: Michael Matthews >hi there. i'm not sure why my address keeps getting converted from >mojzes@monet.vill.edu to mojzes@monet.rutgers.edu. i guess rutgers >wants me real bad (what's their philosophy grad dept like, anyway?). >if anyone knows why this is doing this, or how it can be rectified >(i *love* passive voice! it allows *me* to complain, and leaves the >possiblility of someone else rectifying it), let me know. Well, it's not because vill.edu uses rutgers as its mail server, but it could be a combination of this line: Return-Path: @vill.edu:mojzes@monet ^^^^^^^^^^^^ and rutgers trying to keep things sane. Rutgers probably notices that mail from you doesn't have a fully qualified domain name, so it tacs on its default domain for you. Take this up with your mail administrators. How about calling up one of the House Rabbit Society volunteer representatives and talk about it with them? They basically advocate toilet training your rabbit by using a cage with litter box in it, and gradually giving the rabbit more and more freedom, so that in the end you simply remove the cage and leave the litter box in the same place. My "big bundle of bun" is completely free ranging, although I do try my best to keep the volume down when the Bun is in the room. My Bun just loves Loreena McKennitt and Debussy. |->) Michael M.Y. Toilet training rabbits: Rabbits may have free run of the home. However, it's best for most -- and necessary for some -- to start with a cage. To make cage time learning time, fasten a litterbox in the corner of the cage that your rabbit chooses for a "bathroom." As soon as he uses the box consistently, you can give him some freedom. Place one or more large litterboxes in corners of the running area outside the cage. Use only positive reinforcement (treats and praise) -- never punishment. << Hug Them >> ======================================================================== Date: Sat, 3 Apr 93 23:09 EST From: robert@deepspace.nj00802.sai.com (Robert Lovejoy) Subject: This and That... Remarkably, I have a friend who has seen Eisen???.M??? (How difficult to spell and remember a band one is not familiar with...). I was showing him my Ecto digest, turns out he's into industrial in a big way. The cause of the fires is that the drummer sets up his cymbals upside-down, fills them with kerosene, and plays them as they "burn"... The cymbals form a dish for the fuel. BTW, Brni, I took Friday off; let's try to hook up on Monday, I've already made your dub! Tomorrow AM Happy's on the air again. Tapes are set, as well as clocks.
