I would highly suggest you pick up their albums if you like what you heard, as it's pretty representative of their style. If you're looking for other similar stuff, you might want to grab the sampler "She: A Female Trip-Hop Experience" ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005A8AB/ ). It's got songs from Laika, Crustation, Lamb, Mandalay, Hybrid (with Julee Cruise on vocals) and a bunch more. - -j ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Nov 2001 10:48:54 -0800 From: Phil Hudson Subject: "Back to the trees where my Art was born" I didn't know Happy had a son..... p ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Nov 2001 14:11:56 -0800 From: Neile Graham Subject: Re: rebuffed At 9:56 AM -0500 11/28/01, Jeff Wasilko wrote: >On Wed, Nov 28, 2001 at 02:10:35AM -0600, Joseph Zitt wrote: >> Does anyone (Meth?) know what the music was in the first "trip" sequence >> on tonight's Buffy, where Willow was lying on the ceiling? Yes, yes, yes! _Good Looking Blues _ is one of my favourite albums of last year. it's really wonderful. - --Neile n.p. Toyah, _prostitute_ (what an odd and wonderful beast this is) n.r. She doesn't play in the City itself very often (the last time was in between the WTC towers in August :/), and this is her last area show of the year. There are some NY-area ectophiles who haven't seen Susan yet but *really* need to (Paul Blair ;), so I hope to see a bunch of y'all there. (John Henshon, you're only off the hook because I know you'll be out of town. ) Susan's new CD, _New Non Fiction_ is going to be very near the top of my "best of" list for 2001. It's now available online at the Bulletproof Store, http://www.bulletproofstore.com. It's called _The Song Inside_. I've heard quite a few of the songs on it in live performance over the past couple years and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be seeing her perform a couple times in the next month, so I'll have a chance to pick it up then. It's available by mail order from her site too: http://www.sloanwainwright.com. ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth "an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind" -- mahatma gandhi ======================================= Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Nov 2001 22:07:12 -0800 From: Neile Graham Subject: Any British TV viewers?
