Nearly all of you who have emailed me back regarding the CD have expressed thanks and support, which is making me feel guilty, as I am not doing this single-handedly. ( I tried it alone, and that's why there's printer ink on the cats and the ceiling) The following people have contributed majorly to this project: Jeff Wasilko, who has burned 100 copies of the disc. Vickie Mapes, who provided jewel cases and $$ for printing, etc Mike "Fog" Weis, who is now printing the next batch of covers, following the tragic demise of my printer. Lyle Howard, who sent in $$ to help with the postage. So if you're currently floating around listening to Happy doing some really cool Neil Finn cover song, chances are one of the cool people above had a cool hand (or two) in getting it to you, so I'll pass on your collective heart and thanks to them. Thanks for all the thanks! Since I've never heard them, I listened to some Madder Rose samples to get an idea of what her voice sounds like (not bad btw, shall look into them further). It just could be 10,000 Maniacs' version. On that particular track Mary Ramsey sounds a bit like what I heard on the Madder Rose samples. Try going to amazon.com, lookup their Love Among the Ruins CD and listen to the sample. I found what I think is a 14 second sample of Emmie's version, it was dance music, should be easy to rule that one out.. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V7 #314 **************************
