Lori Carson - "house in the weeds" oh yeah, I was just going to mention that my copy of this arrived today, but then I forgot. Thanks for the reminder. This new Lori Carson is really stripped down demos. I just popped it in and took a nap, so I can't say much about it, beyond that it sounded just like the LC I saw many years ago in a brief solo accoustic concert. There was one song, I think the title track, that struck me as particularly plaintive and aching. Jane Scarpantonionio's plays cello on one track, but I think that's about it for extra musicians. More after a listen or two. neal np: come to where i'm from - joseph arthur ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Sep 2001 05:28:54 -0700 (PDT) From: anna maria "stjärnell" Subject: toyah help needed Hi.. Been enjoying Laurie Freelove's Invisble Invisle cdr. It rocks. If only it were a proper release. She desreves so much more than being label-less and with limited means of promoting her work. On a similiar note..Am looking for Toyah's cd Prostitute. It seems to be out of print. Does nayone have it and if so could they burn a cdr copy for me? Will pay or trade for it. It was in an unmarked jewel case with no tray card or anything. The disc only says 'Project Lo' 1995, with no title. There are seven tracks. I am reasonably sure that this is their release 'Dabblings In Darkness', since it is definately not 'Black Canvas'. Can anyone help me out with a track listing? Thanks much. Megan If you have a computer with CD drive online, you might try popping it in and running a CD player application that checks the online CDDB database (or its Free equivalents). They're usually pretty good at recognizing the disc and getting a list of tracks on them. - -- |> ~The only thing that is not art is inattention~ --- Marcel Duchamp <| | jzitt@metatronpress.com http://www.metatronpress.com/jzitt | | Latest CD: Jerusaklyn http://www.mp3.com/josephzitt | | Comma: Voices of New Music Silence: the John Cage Discussion List | ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Sep 2001 19:49:10 -0400 From: "Foghorn J Fornorn" Subject: RE: Project Lo question Sounds very possible.
